La Junta has been selected to participate in the Governor’s Office of Economic Development’s (OEDIT) Colorado Blueprint 2.0 Initiative with The Creativity Lab of Colorado. This award provides technical assistance to explore and expand creative industries of all types and disciplines within the community and is administered through the Colorado Creative Industries Division of OEDIT.

To reach a shared vision, we need your opinion about La Junta’s top priorities and focus areas through a community self-assessment survey. This survey is part of the State of Colorado Blueprint 2.0 Initiative and The Creativity Lab’s 10 Community Readiness Principles Training program. The survey is used to establish a benchmark for La Junta and as an ongoing tool to evaluate progress. The survey will be open until November 19.

Following the survey, there will be a Creativity Lab Workshop which will include an overview of the survey results. The focus of the Creativity Lab workshop is to engage as many creative minds as possible and the vision to become a state-certified creative district. The Creativity Lab Workshop is Thursday, November 29. More information on time and location to follow.
